Elmyr
Hi, I’m Elmyr, and I’m one of the smallest penguins in our colony. I can be a bit shy at first, but when I want to eat, I’ll be right up in the front waiting for my food. My name comes from Elmer’s Glue, which repaired a crack on my egg, allowing me to hatch and join this wonderful community.
Despite my size, I have a big appetite and enjoy feasting on Pacific Herring or Capelin that I’ve chewed up to the point of being unrecognizable. My story is a testament to the dedication and care of those who work at zoos and aquariums, and I’m grateful for the second chance they gave me to thrive.
