My Story

Hello there, I’m Selene! I may be completely blind, but that has never stopped me from living life to the fullest. I’ve been overcoming challenges since I was a tiny chick, and along the way, I’ve learned that being different doesn’t mean being less—it just means finding new ways to thrive!

I love being around people and have a special connection with my keepers—I always recognize their voices. Sensory toys are my favorite, and at night, I snuggle up in my own little bed with my favorite plush toy. Pretty cozy, right?

One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been meeting children with special needs. When I made my debut, their smiles said it all—we understood each other. I hope that by being an ambassador for my species, I can also help show that different can be just as wonderful.
