My Story
Hi everybody! I’m Pico, the youngest and most curious member of my penguin colony. I come from a very prestigious lineage. My grandfather, Wellington, was named Chicagoan of the Year in 2020. Big flippers to fill, right? But don’t worry, I’m ready to make my own mark, one hop at a time!
My name, Pico, means beak in Spanish—a perfect fit since I use my bill to explore everything! Whether it’s enrichment, new environments, or just the water, I always have to investigate first. You’ll often spot me peeking my head underwater before making a splash, or testing out bubbles and ice with endless curiosity.
Like my famous grandpa, I love going for walks around the aquarium, checking out new sights and meeting guests along the way. There’s a whole world out there, and I intend to explore every inch of it that I can. With my adventurous spirit and endless energy, I’m ready to take on March of the Penguin Madness!
