My Story
Hello, I’m Esther, a wise and caring 32-year-old Emperor Penguin with a lifetime of experience guiding and supporting my penguin colony. My biggest role so far in my life has been serving as a mentor and protector to my best friend, Pearl (EM0094), who took 3rd place in last year’s March of the Penguin Madness! I may not be her biological mother, but I’ve been by her side every step of the way, teaching her how to swim, interact with our colony, and most importantly, how to be an Emperor.
Beyond my bond with Pearl, I’ve helped to build a strong support system within our colony. I’m part of the “old lady brigade” alongside my fellow seasoned penguins EM0059 (36 years old) and EM0072 (32 years old). Together, we ensure that every penguin, especially the younger ones, feels nurtured, protected, and never alone. I’ve spent my life leading with love, compassion, and a strong sense of community.
