Honoring Oreo
We are saddened to share that Oreo, one of our beloved March of the Penguin Madness contestants, passed away during the early stages of the competition. At 34 years old, he was a remarkable African penguin who far outlived the average lifespan of his species, a testament to the exceptional care he received and his resilient spirit.
To honor Oreo’s incredible life and legacy, we are keeping his bio here as a tribute. He was a devoted partner, a dedicated nest-builder, and a true ambassador for his species. Though he may no longer be with us, his story continues to inspire and remind us of the importance of conservation and world-class animal care.
Oreo may have waddled on, but he will never be forgotten.
